The 2024 Guangzhou Marathon kicked off on the morning of December 8th, departing from Tianhe Sports Center and concluding at Haixinsha Island. The route passed through Tianhe District, Zhuhai District, Liwan District, and Yuexiu District, running along both banks of the Pearl River. Participants passed various Lingnan-style buildings such as the Guangdong Customs Museum, Nanfang Building, and the Memorial Museum of Generalissimo Sun Yat-sen's Mansion. With sunlight filtering through the trees, the vibrant runners complemented the historic streetscapes, creating a beautiful painting of Guangzhou. 2024广州马拉松赛于12月8日早晨鸣枪开跑，从天河体育中心出发，终点设置在海心沙，途经天河区、海珠区、荔湾区和越秀区，沿珠江两岸行进。参赛选手们跑经粤海关博物馆、南方大厦、孙中山大元帅府纪念馆等一众岭南特色建筑，阳光从树荫间洒下，明媚多彩的跑者与充满历史厚度的街景交相辉映，绘就一幅广府新韵的美丽画卷。
