Recently, the "Maritime Guangdong" Showcase, organized by the Yangcheng Evening News Group, was held in Paris, France, Featuring a total of three screenings of 14 short films themed around the Maritime Guangdong Program, post-screening exchanges, one surprise screening, one roundtable forum with young Chinese and French filmmakers, and one special screening at the French Chaozhou Association.
The events took place at the film cultural landmark Forum des imagesin Paris, the renowned art cinema Les 3 Luxembourg in the Latin Quarter of Paris, and the French Chaozhou Association in the 13th arrondissement of Chinatown. As the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France and the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism comes to a successful close, the Maritime Guangdong Showcase received enthusiastic support from film enthusiasts in the capital of cinema.

The inaugural screening of "Maritime· Paris" themed "The Flâneur" Showcased six Chinese short films supported by the Maritime Guangdong Program, including "Sudden Rain," "A Strange Bird," "Oblivion," "Migratory Bird," "Deja Vu," and "Player No Need," presenting the modern experiences captured by young Chinese filmmakers.
The films, shot in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(GBA) and telling local stories, unfolded the charm of Lingnan culture on the Parisian screen. The emotions they contained transcended mountains and seas, resonating with the French audience. Director Hu Qiao of "Player No Need" attended the post-screening exchange.

On the evening of December 20th, french time, "Maritime· Paris" landed at the Parisian cultural landmark Forum des Images, bringing the classic film "Mountains May Depart" by renowned director Jia Zhangke, which was nominated for the main competition at the 68th Cannes Film Festival, to French audiences. Nine years later, the melody of "Go West" resonated again in France.
After the screening, under the moderation of Liu Min, a Chinese journalist in France and a senior film critic, young Chinese director Hu Wei, independent producer Wang Yang, and young directors Dai Xiaolu and Zhang Di from the Maritime Guangdong Program discussed the opportunities and perplexities of new generations of Chinese-speaking creators with the theme "Deeply Rooted, Like Waves Surging."

The third day of "Maritime· Paris" themed "Go Like the Wind" Screened four Chinese short films supported by the Maritime Guangdong Program, including " Bring Him Bank," "Echoes of the Long Day," " the Rain Will Fall, the Pig Will Sink," and "Hi, Marilyn," offering insights into the passionate expressions of youth and the keen senses of life experiences from new generations of young directors. Director Zhang Di of "Hi, Marilyn" participated in the post-screening exchange.
December 22nd

On the afternoon of December 22nd, "Maritime· Paris" entered the French Chaozhou Association with the theme "Waves Strike Without Sinking," presenting four films on the historical themes of overseas Chinese shot in Chaoshan and Cantonese dialects, including the short films " How Can I Rid My Mind of Her " and "The River That Hold My Hand" Supported by the Maritime Guangdong Program, as well as the specially invited short films "Fan Guests" and "The Forest of Miss Tang"
The auditorium of the French Chaozhou Association was packed, with many viewers bringing their entire families to this special screening. Wang Jian, Minister-Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in France, bai Ge, first Secretary of the Consular Department of the Chinese Embassy in France, ye Feiyan (Christine Ye), National Committee Member of the French Ruling Party and Head of External Affairs of the Paris Party Department, and dozens of guests from the overseas Chinese community attended the screening and exchange.

The final screening of "Maritime· Paris" themed "Dreams in Lingnan" Brought four Chinese short films supported by the Maritime Guangdong Program to the audience, including "How Can I Rid My Mind of Her," "The River That Hold My Hand," "Swimming Lesson," and "Nature Town."
After the screening, director Dai Xiaolu of "Nature Town" interacted with the audience. Many Parisians became "repeat visitors," attending the events for several consecutive days, undeterred by the chilly Parisian winter wind, exchanging enthusiastically, and leaving a deep impression on the screening team and young Chinese directors.

山海展映季巴黎系列活动圆满闭幕

近日,由羊城晚报报业集团主办的山海展映季系列活动在法国巴黎举办,一共组织了3场14部山海计划主题短片放映和映后交流、1场惊喜放映、1场中法青年电影人圆桌论坛和1场法国潮州会馆特别放映。
活动分别在巴黎电影文化地标Forum des images、左岸拉丁区艺术影院Les 3 Luxembourg和13区中国城法国潮州会馆举行。值中法建交60周年暨文化旅游年即将圆满收官之际,山海展映季在电影之都收获影迷观众的热情支持。

“山海展映季·巴黎”首日展映以“异乡游荡者”为主题,带来《骤雨》《鹈鹕出走之后》《炉底糍就是华夫饼》《家庭旅行》《我看见了一只人鱼》《3门》等6部由山海计划扶持创作的华语青年短片,呈现中国青年影像创作者对现代性经验的书写。
影片均在粤港澳大湾区取景,讲述当地故事,岭南风情在巴黎银幕徐徐展开。当中所蕴含的情感跨越了山海,在法国观众当中激起共鸣。《3门》导演胡峤出席映后交流。

法国时间12月20日晚,“山海展映季·巴黎”登陆巴黎文化地标——巴黎影像论坛Forum des Images,为法国观众带来著名导演贾樟柯入围第68届戛纳主竞赛单元的经典作品《山河故人》。时隔九年,《Go West》的旋律再次于法国响起。
映后,在旅法记者、资深影评人刘敏的主持下,旅法青年导演胡伟、旅法独立制片人王洋和山海计划青年导演戴晓璐、张迪,以“如根深种,如浪翻涌”为题,探讨新生代华语创作者的机遇与困惑。

“山海展映季·巴黎”第三日以“像少年飞驰”为主题,放映了《马仔梦露》《长日留痕》《落水天,沉落去》《你好,马莉莉》4部由山海计划扶持创作的华语青年短片,透视新生代青年导演们对青春的炽热写意和对生命体验的敏锐感受。《你好,马莉莉》导演张迪参与了映后交流。

活动现场·法国潮州会馆
12月22日下午,“山海展映季・巴黎”走进法国潮州会馆,以“浪击而不沉”为主题,带来4部以潮汕话和粤语拍摄的海外华人历史题材影片放映,包括山海计划扶持拍摄的短片《海水泡的茶是什么味道》《THE RIVER THAT HOLD MY HAND》,以及特邀短片《番客》《陈小姐的森林》。
法国潮州会馆大礼堂座无虚席,不少观众携全家老小前来参与这场特别的放映。中国驻法国大使馆公参王健,中国驻法国大使馆领侨处一秘白鸽,法国执政党全国委员兼巴黎党部对外事务负责人叶飞燕以及数十位侨界嘉宾参与观影和交流。

“山海展映季·巴黎”最后一场放映,以“南国一梦”为主题,为观众带来《海水泡的茶是什么味道》《THE RIVER THAT HOLD MY HAND》《游泳课》《雀尾》4部由山海计划扶持创作的华语青年短片。
映后,《雀尾》导演戴晓璐到场与观众进行交流。不少巴黎市民成为“回头客”,连续数日参加活动,无惧巴黎冬日的寒风,热情交流,给展映团队和中国青年导演留下深刻印象。
